Rose's delivers the (cheap) goods

Today I went out trying to find the items from my shopping list that I was unable to find at Wal-Mart the other day. This basically consisted of cups, bowls, plates, ice trays, and a cheap rug that would promote rolling of my office chair on the carpet (I don't like those plastic mats because I always end up cutting my feet on them). I was sort of looking for the cheap crap versions of the bowls, plates, and cups, but I couldn't seem to find them at Sears or Bed Bath and Beyond. At some point I had an epiphany and realized the stores I was looking in weren't trashy enough. My thought was, "Rose's, of course! If anyone has cheap plastic crap, it'll be Rose's."

I found pretty much everything I was looking at Rose's. In fact, their cheap plastic crap was so appalling that I ended up getting glass instead (it was only fifty cents more per item). I am continually astonished that Roses a) is still in business, and b) manages to have locations in the damnedest locales. I guess the current state of our economy is helping Rose's; people are having to lower their standards, which is causing a boom in the cheap plastic crap industry.

I was going to end it there, but I have to say that I feel sort of guilty now, in the same way I would feel guilty for talking shit about a trashy but otherwise nice person.
