I've REALLY got to get over this 'I have to be up early so I can't sleep at all' thing. I turned my alarm off Wednesday and SLEPT. But I still got up before 6am because I had gone to sleep early (I was very very tired)
But today? 4 hours of sleep wouldn't have been enough, but it sure would have been better then zero. Did it happen? NOPE. I'm positive I didn't even doze 'cause I've got none of that morning crud in my eyes.
I wonder if I start setting my alarm every morning would this problem go away? Or does it only work if I set it for the same time each day? I can't keep doing this. Esp when often the reason I get up REAL early is so I can go somewhere & take pictures. Lack of sleep messes with my balance which messes with my photography.
I'm glad my flight to Seattle is so late I don't have to set an alarm 'cause it's a very bad way to start a trip.
Well, I might as well get moving. It's a bit earlier then I had planned, but I decided it would be a waste to try sleeping for an hour and I can do some star gazing since it's almost a new moon. Damn, sunrise is early. First stop - Wawa on Rt 50 for some caffeine.
(I'm going to Bombay Hook - haven't been there since new year's day... hope it doesn't disappoint. Locals have said the foxes are hiding this year. Sigh. But the turtles should be out. And hopefully the horseshoe crabs.
oh, I don't really understand the tides, but I think I found the right info.
http://www.saltwatertides.com/dynamic.dir/delawaresites.html#date Bombay Hook usually lists tides for the Leipsic River - and high is at 11:53am.
BUT the buoy at Port Mohan says the high tide is 8:46 AM. Big difference. So, that's what I'm aiming for and hopefully there will be activity. The NZ bird club is doing an outing tomorrow, so they expect things to be hoping.
