One more month before I graduate.... this will probably be the longest month EVER. I hope my preceptor doesn't take any more days off so I wouldn't have to make it up (-_-)
So Autumn is here. My most favourite season. I love Halloween too. I love the sweets that come with Halloween. And good things always happen during Autumn for me... except this year. I'm praying to Buffy the Vampire Slayer that things will work out. Please pray for me too.
I really can't wait to graduate. It sucks not being able to earn money. It makes the world go round, at least it does with mine. I need the money to feed my burgeoning coffee addiction. I tried to cut back, but when you're always surrounded by coworkers with a cup of the oh-so-yummy-and-comforting scent of freshly brewed java, there's nothing else you can do but cave. And how I caved.
Just to even things out, considering I have a low resistance to food temptation and a low metabolism, I tried to do more activities. Mind you, doing my hospital clinicals is more than enough exercise in my opinion, but my body seems to mock my opinions by retaining all acquired calories.
I walk my dog more often even if it's getting colder outside. It's ok, he wears his jacket (^_^) I also get off my bum as much as possible. I don't watch too much tv, so the chances of being a potato is slim to none. It helps that I have a big room, so there's more for me to clean. It also means that I have more room to do parapara/techpara dancing! LOL! What's Parapara/Techpara? Parapara is kinda like line-dancing that the Japanese took and made into their own (aka cute-ified it). The difference I guess is that most of the dancing is done with the upper body and it's danced to j-pop, dance, eurobeats, and techno (hence Techpara). Before you go and try this, I should warn you that dancing parapara might raise some eyebrows, even from people who like you. So if you care about what other people think, then use parapara only for recreational purposes (ie: exercise, scaring the bejeezus out of your parents, shooing away flies). Unless you're a dance diva, I doubt you'll be able to pull this off and still look mentally stable. Parapara is guaranteed to make you look funny (if done in front of an audience), but it's still a fun exercise I think. Here are some samples:
