First Years and DC++
Finally, school has begun!
I know, weird of me to say. But you don't understand what it's like living without DC++ all summer! It's awful. You feel alone and terrible dated with your music that was so five minutes ago! Seriously though, I enjoy new stuff more often than every three months.
So last week was ACP Training and it was fantastic! Well, let me clarify. (Like butta!) I've never done so many ice breakers in one place, but I also never enjoyed so many ice breakers. Our ACP team is awesome and we had a blast hanging out with each other. HOWEVER! Very few of the activities of our training were relevant to what we will have to do with our students. For instance we never covered what a By Appointment class freakin meant. But it's ... ok. I don't know. I'm too tired to care too mcuh today. I was up till 3 in the am last night after getting up at 5 also in the am that morning. It was fantastic a 22 hour day of heat, drunken students, and a kinda room mate situation. By room mate situation, I mean Jennifer moved and out all in 24 hours. The room mate I was so nervous about getting turned out to be really kewl and was gone as soon as she came in because of some awful circumstances. So what could have been a kewl and interesting year is still good but not as interesting.
I can't wait to get these ACP programs underway. I'm really excited about having the opportunity to do so. Hopefully we won't bore anyone to tears and it'll be all good.
Other than that . . . I've seen Debbie, Maya, Chaim around and a few other people. Everyone seems to be refreshed and ready for a new semester here at RU. That's always a good thing. Our building seems to be full of some pretty awesome people. Hopefully they'll all turn out to be kewl characters.
All and all, so far so good. But that's only because classes haven't started yet. DUN DUN DUN!
