(no subject)
I always forget how slow dial-up internet is. I feel like I'm living in slow motion :o) I know, I know, spoiled me who usually has DSL, but still.
I have officially moved into my room! I have a bed, and a dresser, and a bookshelf, and a very cheap comfy chair, and even some pictures on the wall. I'm hoping to get a camera sometime soon, and then maybe I will try to show all of you what it looks like. Thank goodness for Bed, Bath and Beyond and The Container Store. They're AMAZING places. My room is now sort of vaguely Hawaiian themed, with subtle hints of Romper Room. Which, if you're like me and have never seen that, is basically brightly colored and little kid-ish (like the show apparently was). So extremely productive today on the cleaning and organizing front. Go me!
I'm getting excited for the rest of orientation on Tuesady which is mostly important things like registering for classes and getting an advisor. Yes, please, advise me! Jes and I are also planning to head home tomorrow (hurray Labor Day) to say hi to Mom and Younger Sister and Dad, as they have all just gotten back from Hawaii. My dog must be soooo pleased... It will also be nice to pick up random things, like my teddbear. Yes, I am 22 and have a teddbear. His name is Buttons. He sleeps on my bed. So sue me :o)
Not much else to report: I'm reading some Dorothy L. Sayers short stories, which are good fun, and slowly but surely acclimating to the city. Now if I could only get some laundry done. *makes list*
