Jacksonville Music Scene!
The few things that were bad about the show last night: The promoter seems to be the BIG problem. They charged $10 for parking and there is no where nearby to park...so you were pretty muched fucked into paying. I complained directly to the guy taking my money and he just shrugged. The venue was unbearably hot. Even Morrissey himself said so multiple times...and multiple shirt changes....but I didn't mind the view so much ;) however it was about as hot as I've been in poorly venelated hole in the wall Jackrabbits and this was a HUGE venue with lots of working a/c so why couldn't they fix the air??? Also $6 for a beer on draft....REALLY? I am surprised we weren't charged to be frisked at the door or charged to get our ID checked or charged to use their bathrooms. I want to know how to find out who the promoter was....they sucked balls and are why Jacksonville gets shit concerts usually and why bands don't want to return to Jacksonville. The crowd was great, the turn out was surprising for a Jacksonville show....and yet the promoters took advantage. I have never had to pay parking for a show. Even downtown I can find free or pay $3. Come on.
