Morrissey was amazing. He croons and wails and sings like no other. It was so hot in the concert that he changed shirts several times....I think we saw 6 different shirts and twice he took his shirt off on stage. That man makes me lust for older men. Yow! He sang old and new. I was happiest to hear Everyday Is Like Sunday and Girlfriend In a Coma. He also played International Playboy. Then he busted out with some Smith's songs...Please, Please, Please and he changed the words a little to say "Let me get her for once" instead of "Let me get what I want" and then he ended the show with How Soon Is Now?. It was a spectacular show. A huge crowd and many familiar faces. I saw a few people from high school but cheesed out and didn't say hello. It wasn't anyone I horribly close to and I think I was afraid I'd get the blank stare when I said hello and they wouldn't remember me. I did that exact thing to a guy that approached me after the concert and remembered me from Club 5 on Thursday nights ( Terrell and I went to the Goth/Industrial night back in 96 nearly every Thursday night). I had to give him the blank stare...I told him I remembered his face but couldn't remember his name. It was an awkward moment and he kept trying to get me to remember him and I really didn't! He looked familiar but I don't think I ever talked to him while going there because him telling me his name was Jared didn't help...didn't click or anything, I felt bad that I couldn't remember him. Anyway...it was a wonderful night. It was good to see friends on a "school" night. Kelly and Mike, Andy and Lourdes, Molly, Michael(Do you know how much I adore you?). Anyway it was a wonderful night and he is an amazing singer. A concert I'll remember.
I told work I was going to be into work late and took my time getting up, showering, getting dressed. I got to work 45 minutes late and it made all the difference. It started my morning off calm and with a smile. I feel refreshed and completely content. A nice way to start my day. :)
