You have me in tears, Ess! Total run down the sides of my cheeks, wet, salty tears. At this point I'm sure I'm a blubbering idiot. It's 5% hormones & 95% this. Actually, who am I kidding...I'd probably still be sobbing this much even if it had NOTHING to do with hormones!
My nephew is turning 1 & his mom is just beside herself. With joy, with sadness....the memories of days gone by clutched firmly in her grasp, & her heart. I can almost smell baby William, wrapped up & snuggly & new. It does seem like yesterday... yesterday that you confirmed to me on MSN you were preggers, yesterday you were ready to pop & looking beautiful with your big belly, yesterday you announced William was here. Just one year that quickly went by in the life of the adults around him, but for William, this was the year of firsts. While the rest of us took millions of steps to work or to shop or to go out to dinner, William was learning to roll, sit-up, crawl & finally, to take his very first step EVER! While the rest of us had tons of conversations with friends & family, sang our lungs out to our favorite songs, William was spitting out sounds, then baby gibberish & finally, his first word.
Getting to witness the first year of a child's life has got to be the most exciting & eventful. From a baby so helpless & dependent, to a little boy full of life, love & his first taste of independence [just not TOO much of it yet, right mom?!].
I love you both...I love your family. I love the love that you've created amongst all of you. Life wouldn't be nearly as sweet without the Morrows in it! xxxooo!
