(no subject)
Once again, I thought to myself... "I want to listen to the Bach sonatas" (instead of continuing to whistle them) ahahha.. but do I realllly want to listen to Galway? ahhhhh I may just switch gears and listen to Pahud Romantic music instead.
Ohhh well. A nice note on my random thoughts. Actually, they aren't so random to me since I'm writing about the sonatas in my paper haha.
I went to the oboe studio recital today, and I was the only non-oboist there. Yes, I'm a huge dork- I've always been a huge oboe fan (but it's called supporting your colleagues- a lot of people here don't do that hardly ever). I seriously wanted to listen to the pieces and most players too. Recitals here are like no big deal except to the ones that have to perform them. Even then a lot of performers don't even tell anyone, don't put up signs, hope that not a lot of people show up. Well I don't know...that's a pretty good way to try to get only 8 people to come, IF that ahahha How strange right? A performing school with musicians that have acquaintances but not enough supporting friends to fill up a small recital hall? I will never understand it all, but I'd like to thank all of you guys that ever came to any of the recitals I played in at Crane. It certainly helps me learn more when people come and listen to me play- making me nervous! ahah
I really don't know about this whole putting your name on a waitlist for a custom made flute thing... what if it's shit when you get it? How much would you get out of trying the companies other already made flutes? Wacko.
