Author's Notes: Okay! Donata and Eric are five, Ferro is one, Gina does not exist yet, Carmine is 8, Bianca 13 and Andrea is 16. There we go. I had fun writing all of them together.
"But-Mamma, I don’t wanna go!"
"Ercole-"
"Eric."
"Eric," said Lena, rolling her eyes at her five year old. She passed her hand over her forehead and tried to fight off the growing headache. She gave Eric a look and turned to Donata, who was standing patiently next to her mother with an annoying, winning sort of smirk on her face. She swayed back and forth a bit it the dress it had taken an hour and a half to get her in and looked up at her mother.
"I wanna go to kindergarten," said Donata brightly. Too brightly.
"You know, other people have first days of school too," said an eight year old Carmine, crossing his arms over his chest and pouting slightly. Lena rolled her eyes again. Why did they have to keep going after two-
"Mamma, I’m not going!" said Eric very loudly, stomping his foot.
"You’re going," said Lena, bending over and turning Eric around in the direction of the school. "I don’t care if you like it or not, you’re going."
"Can I drive, Ma?" asked Andrea, calling from the front seat. Lena felt like screaming, she turned to her oldest son and opened her mouth to say ‘No’ when Bianca’s head came shooting out of the car, half her hair up in a clip, the other hanging by her ear.
"I don’t want to be late," she shouted at her mother, before popping back in the car.
"Mamma, Eric pulled my hair."
"No, I didn’t."
"Please, can I drive?"
"Let’s go-!"
"Everybody, just...freeze!" Lena shouted, throwing her arms out. Her children stopped and looked up at her.
"Mamma’s gone crazy," Eric whispered in Donata’s ear and she nodded.
"Uh-huh."
