Mattimeo’s parents were born in the Ukraine, moving to the States when their oldest son Hannibal turned five. They lived on the Upper East Side, Nikolai working in a chain of the Russian mob while Alexis drank her way through affairs, teaching her children that the only thing in life that was important was number one.
After going through high school like any average teenager, everything his mother was teaching him over the years hit him. College consisted of parties, one-night-stands, and procrastinating. He eventually just dropped out and went to his father for advice on what to do. A friend of the families suggested that Mattimeo joined the force, and when he balked at the idea, suggested detective work.
Mattimeo took a year to figure out if he wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement, bouncing the idea back and forth in his mind until he finally just decided to go for it. He was partnered up with Kaelyn Tanner, who he hit on immediately, just because that’s what he was used to. She shot him down and he pegged her a prude. The two of them have a rocky relationship, each hates the other and the more they work with each other the more they find themselves hating the other.
He was saved from Kaelyn when he became a detective third grade, now working along side Kendal Bonelli. He never really had a thing for her, and neither did she, and she was slightly surprised when people started assuming they were sleeping together since they got along so well. They tried going out once, just to dispel the rumors, and it ended awkwardly.
Mattimeo personal life consists of his siblings. He and Hannibal are very close, Hannibal works in Vice, so they don’t get to see each other as often as Mattimeo would like. Julius is still in high school, while Zasha is in college for preforming arts and Tatiana is a model. Mattimeo is closet to Tatiana out of all his siblings, seeing as she’s just as screwed up as he is. They share a dislike of their childhood and the fact that neighter of them could stand up to their mother in the first place.
