Bless your rando stalking of my two week old comments.
I HAVE JUST FINISHED 2.02 OF THE HOUR. LJDS;VNIEFS;KFD;SF~!!!!??? Basically I deeply feel that this show has been written just for me. I am simply in love. I am in love with everyone and their hair. (Well, tbh, I don't care for Hector so much but I like how the narrative doesn't really glamorize him or privilege his man pain a la Don Draper. Honestly, I feel like the real distinction between this show and Mad Men is that The Hour is actually interested in telling women's stories, period.) Bel and Lix are objectively perfect specimens but I also adore Freddie for being such a passionate, pretentious, justice-seeking little shit. These characters speak to my soul. That is all.
ooooooh okay i just finished 2x03. and Hector's bitch-out at whatshisname (girlfriend-beating dude / homophobic cop) on TV was THE SHIT. so i've changed my tune now and decided i like Hector. LOL. i'm easy.
let us not even speak of how Bel and Freddie are destroying my soul this season. i feel 15 years old again.

I don't even want to talk about it. they should not be allowed to exist.
My rando stalking happens because I open all these tabs that are filled with gloriousness but then run out of time to frolick in them as much as I would like. So, you know. This happens!
OMG HAVE YOU WATCHED ANY MORE?! You are correct to be in love with everyone because that is the only appropriate response. And there is a lot of fabulous hair. I was reading an interview recently about Ben Whishaw where the writer was saying that he was predisposed to dislike him because of the silly wig that he wore in S1 of The Hour. And then, lo, it was NOT a wig. And the writer ADORED him. Which is good.
The thing that I love about Hector is that he's morally reprehensible and you're never invited to think anything other than the truth of him. There's no attempt to glorify the fact that he's a ruined man who's cheating on his wife. And then Marnie gets even more kinds of fabulous and that somehow makes him just seem even weaker as a man. And it's glorious.
I AM STILL ONLY AT THE HALFWAY POINT OF S2 BECAUSE I MADE THE AWESOME DECISION TO WATCH LIVE ON AUSTRALIAN TELEVISION. So, you'll probably get my explosive feelings on the season finale in roughly three weeks. Watch out.
Ben Whishaw is just objectively perfect face-wise, tbh.
I'm inclined to agree about Hector! I love that we're encouraged to like and sympathize with Marnie over him.
I am really excited for you that you have ALL THE BEST BITS TO COME. I'm going to be REALLY interested to see what you think of the finale. I have complicated feelings about it which I look forward to discussing AT LENGTH when the time comes.

IVY IS FLAWLESS, WORD. Honestly, she's one of the few things I like about that show.
and they just live and go around and kill people.

Also, Ivy is and excellent choice of things to like. Also, Jack Davenport's face.
