Monday Morning - oh what fun!

Okay, feeling a lot better after my little ramble yesterday. I was just all PMSed out and generally down - however, much, much chocolate and a good night's sleep later, I'm feeling fine again. :)

I actually went to my 9am lecture, paid attention and learnt something. Will wonders never cease?! I also went to town and put my films from America in for developing at Boots (ready on Wednesday, yay!), bought a birthday card for Dad (although I still have to think of a decent present AND get around to sending it...), and I finally found a nice pair of flat pointy shoes. I've got heaps of long skirts, but not all of them go with my knee-high boots, so I had to stop wearing them now it's too cold for flip flops. But yay, problem solved with my new brown Dorothy Perkins pointy shoes!!

Of course, five minutes later I walked past First Base and saw a really cute pair of flat black shoes which looked even nicer than the flat brown ones I'd just bought. *sigh* Like the grass is always greener on the other side, the shoe is always pointier on the other foot... or something along those lines. I may have to go back and investigate on Wednesday, though. I mean, they need a good loving home, right? :)

I'm in two minds about Chinese class tonight - I've missed three classes now, thanks to America, jet lag and illness. So that makes me, what, six hours behind? *sigh* It's a lot to catch up, especially when I need to focus on my normal studies. But... it's fun. I could always postpone until next year and see if I can get a part-refund on the tuition? I don't know - I really enjoy it, I'm just worried I won't catch up! That said, there's still six weeks worth left until Christmas, I think, so maybe I should go.

Right, today I'm going to tidy my room, do all the laundry I've been swearing that I'll do for the past week and catch up on about six lectures. :)

Oh, and I remember why I started the day in such a good mood. I fitted into my size 12 jeans that I bought in Australia when I was nearly 16. Admittedly there's still a fair bit of podge around the midriff, but... they do up, which is the main (and indeed impressive!) thing. :D

Happy Halloween, everyone!!!
