What we did on our summer holidays

So, Golden Boy and I decided to get married. And because we are really, really awkward, we decided we would not do so in Ireland or Australia but in one of Fiji's Yasawa islands, because who doesn't love a long flight followed by a 5 hour boat ride to get to a wedding?

There was the cheesy dressing of the bride shot!

There were very pretty rings!

There were floral garlands (that thankfully no one was allergic to).

And romance for everyone.

There was a handsome groom!

Who was joined by a flower-covered bride.

And readings. Shakespeare's 116.

Then an (abridged) Oh! The Places You Will Go!

And some wise words from Einstein.

And some funny words from Pam Ayres - Yes, I'll Marry You.

And finally, a sweet and fun reading of I Rely on You.

And speeches by us.

And cheek-smooches.

And proper smooches (and a big laugh when I said "You can now kiss your bride" because, frankly, no one else is allowed give permission on my behalf for snogging).

And booze!

And me wondering why brides are always posing alone and forlorn on the beach on their wedding day - are they lying in wait for shipwrecked sailors or something?

Quick, there's a groom! Catch it!

I think he likes me.

We should celebrate with sparking (with a hibiscus flower in the end, in case you are wondering).

Weddings can be pretty awesome.

Especially when the venue is this cute.

And there is food soon!

And families are happy.

And there is EPIC dancing with added air guitar.

In short, weddings rock. :D
