"I wish you were here, I wish you could see"

I think it often.  How much of the story you can't see, from the other side of the world. The beauty in the cold mornings, mist rising over the lakes and the sky tinged pink, warming the hills in the sun as it rises.  Those sunrise moments, sunset moments, that I've written about before.

I wish you were here.  I wish you could see this.  You can't understand it unless you have.

The whirlwind of joy that is my life - our lives.  Soccer matches, the club on a Saturday.  Ice hockey, cookies, an evening with friends.  Taize services, church, dance class, weekends at the coast.  People occasionally say that when they visit they want to see our lives, not the coast, or the mountains, but they are part of our life.  We will go to the snow this winter, and ski and snowboard.  We will go to the coast over the summer, several times.  It is a part of our lives as much as the church services, and the dance classes, and the football training, and the late night Premiership matches.

Life is happy.  Busy, happy.  I've stepped back slightly where I can to make space for the people that are important in my life, and that's helped.  I still need to make some more me-time, but I'll find some of that, now that we're back into the weekend soccer - ice hockey - club routine.  I hope so, at any rate.  And in the meantime, I find the little things.  Life is good.
