What an intense story. I just realised that I read it with my breath held because I was expecting to burst into tears any minute! The way you tied the story to the scripture quotes and the experience of living in Jerusalem (which is something that, as you said, logic just can't grasp) was very powerful. And I'm so glad you *still* gave them a happy ending! Bravo!

Absolutely gorgeous.

It was a beautifully built world, very realistic. The structure between emotional Buffy and her experiences works wonderfully as well.

Loved the way your wrote all the characters. Loved the way that the way that Buffy and Angel behaved made sense.

I'm glad, it was something that really stuck with me. although I don't think you need to worry-- I could totally see Buffy (and well everybody really) doing what they did. It was so like her to panic and run away the way she did, considering where she was at in her life,even if we find it hard to believe that anyone could run off and leave Angel in their bed :))
It was great though that she decides pretty quickly that she needs to go back and take the risk, and that she's pretty much grown out of running away.

"God, she loves him. So she tells him so. His smile exchanges for an unwilling vulnerability and she wonders how she could not have told him yet, how she could have just left, knowing personally how much it hurt to wake up alone"

Loved that you put this in here. Buffy would know how it feels.

Although, it was also great when Angel fakes stumbles into kissing. Sweeet.

Ohhh...just...emotional, heart-wrenching, gah! I had tears just trying to fall during the whole story. Then the shock of finding Angel at her door! I had come to grips with his death and then there he was. But, still not clear about the two of them. Why had Buffy left if everything was alright? I could see that she was trying to find herself but, why? To live on without Angel? What had happened to him? Your ending was a great relief. Angel waiting for her to return. She finding what she needed to go on with life. With Angel. How it was meant to be. Wonderful story! Thank you.
