This has got to be one of the sweetest collaborations of musicians ever.

John Paul Jones and David Gilmour working together with Rod Stewart on this song. I'm absolutely enthralled by it. Phenomenal Hammond Organ work, and blistering guitar work by senor Gilmour. It's a shame he didn't play anything like this on the later Pink Floyd records. I'm contemplating purchasing this giant box set just for this one song. Or I'll search the vast expanse of the intertubes and download it. Most like the latter option.
Life has been pretty good. Aside all the kerfuffle that occured Miami. This week was perhaps the most enjoyable and fruitful of my entire summer break. I was in such a reflective and contemplative mood yesterday. I did much thinking and pondering, aided by hours of listening to Fleetwood Mac's Albatross over and over again. It is such a beautiful song, and was really conducive for the mood I was in. Another side benefit of listening to that bliss and thinking was that I ended up learning how to play it. Hooray!
Part of me cannot wait to return to Syracuse and hang out with all my friends up there. Conversely part of me doesn't want to leave home just yet, and I'd love for this summer to last forever. Oh if only seasons were much like that on the continent of Westeros, where summers lasted years and winters even longer. For the record, George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy series is one of the greatest things I've read in a long time. It is so refreshing and the characters seem so real. And it isn't fancy dancy prissy fantasy, its grim, mature... adult.
