You never realize just how much crap you have until you need to pack it all up. I think I've packed everything. Now I only have what I can't take, like my wine glasses (I will miss you, you beautiful things) and the trash left. If I thought my suitcases were full on the way over here, I was completely unprepared for the sheer volume of crap that I am taking back to Oregon. There's just so much. I am ridiculously relieved that I signed up for delivery service. Taking all that crap on the train by myself would be pretty much impossible, I'd be willing to bet.
PS: Sticking a long strip of packing tape to your arm and then ripping it off is really painful, seeing as how it pulls a large amount of any arm hair you may have off. I may or may not have done that several times the other day.
PPS: A little Japanese girl from my floor told me today that they're having a party tonight at about 9 and asked if I would be there. I immediately made plans to go out, even if they just consist of reading at a coffee shop with myself.
