Hi, why are we the same person, omg? By which I mean, I totally agree with everything you've written.

I think what's been bugging me in that scene is that the throwaway line she had about it not being long-term, plus her just jumping him right after the whole catastrophic life event thing plus her constant reminders of her upcoming wedding just made it feel like she wasn't into him, but just not into the idea of getting married. IDK. It made me uncomfortable for reasons that I can't figure out, which is baffling me!

And on a shallow level, I did really enjoy the making out and the scene was hilarious but something just felt off. And the timing does make it weird too because it's so early in the season that I just don't know how they're going to move beyond this. Their dynamic seemed to be moving just at the right pace and in the sweetest way and now it's just sort of out there, but all the glimpses/hints in the past few episodes that I thought hinted at her emotional attachment to him seem to have been thrown out the window by this episode? Or...not? I have no clue.

And the Rory/Mickey similarity struck me as well! I don't want Moffat to sink my ship, but I don't want Rory to just become another Mickey either. I do like him, even if I (at the present moment) don't ship him and Amy really.

And I attribute my not being completely irritated with River Song this episode to Moffat finally giving her an episode where she did not, at all, ever, once in this episode, use the word, "Spoilers" in that sing-song tone.
