my aunt's power of attorney is acting like my aunt had no family. my mother has been taking care of my aunt during her entire sickness and this woman has done nothing but flake out and make excuses. the minute she hears that betty is dead she is there and in a rampage. out of control, she kicked the caregiver out of the apartment after accusing her of stealing a ruby ring. crying and emotional, the caregiver sits on the curb waiting for my mother to arrive.
all there together, the power of attorney bitch who claims to have been auntie's friend is running around first looking for betty's purse. she claims to not know where the will is, she claims to have no recollection of a list. she is totally robbing us all blind.
my aunt was a wealthy woman. she never had a problem with finances, in fact she was pretty good at it. her jewelry alone would astound you. now, i am not saying that i want any of it. i don't NEED any material items, but i'll be damned if that bitch power of attorney will auction it off to complete strangers for a few bucks. there are heirlooms in her appartment. things that have been in this family for years. now i have never had a big family, i barely know my history and i don't want some stranger having a piece of my history that could be passed on for a hundred more years. fuck that.
the woman changed all the locks on the apartment and will not allow for anyone to enter...not even my mom. we are in the dark and this woman is trying to distroy everything that my aunt wanted. my aunt was a sweetheart, holding onto to things with an intention in mind and her wishes have nearly been erased.
take this as advice people. not only will this woman get 50,000 dollars for simply being her attorney, BUT she has control over EVERYTHING...even the will being misplaced and somehow fogotten. DO NOT hire, or let any of your family members hire some bastard of attorney. this woman was supposed to be her friend and also accountant for the past decade, but after my aunt died she no longer referred to herself as a friend when introducing herself...instead she is betty's accountant. what the fuck? my loved one's will never get fucked like this again. what ever happened to people with ethics? next power of attorney will come from a source of love...not of some imposter friendship.
