Some fic excerpts that don't belong on pogonipky yet!

OKAY. ♥ rinalin has always given me fantastic prompts, and one of her prompts for this go around was, 'Arashi = four boys, one girl (Nino).' So here's the beginning of my brain starting to work on that one. Basically, I want to keep the idea as realistic as possible; the only change is in the way Johnny's operates (it debuts both male and female groups to differing audiences). I've been talking to people about this one and have a lot of fun ideas, and if you have any please share them with me, ahaha.

Have some pieces that might make it into a final fic about this!

1. "... The selling power of Johnny's male idols is that they put out a front of accessible non-threatening masculinity to women. These make-up slathered men have always brought in the money with their charming smiles and lithe bodies. The female groups, on the other hand, have always been formed around the concept of musical aptitude. It's hard to think of a Johnny's group, male or female, that hasn't found a small amount of success.

However, Johnny Kitagawa seems to have lost sight of what he was selling when he drew up this odd configuration of members. The four boys part is okay - the girl part has us scratching our head. What, exactly, is this formation supposed to be?

We can only feel sorry for the members of this ragtag group, especially Ninomiya Kazumi (16). They've only just debuted, but it can be said with confidence that Arashi will never make its way to the top ..."

2. "I guess I... get power from the people who make a fool of me. Like people close to my own age that talk from the shadows. When someone says, 'Johnny's sucks!' I get greatly motivated. I feel easy being among people who are against me.

But being pitied isn't the same as being hated. And I actually dislike being pitied that much more... when someone says - because they still say it - when someone says, 'I'm sorry that you're with four men,' I guess I get angry. It's kind of a, 'What do you know?' sort of feeling."

ATTENTION HUT! Nabbed this from throttleholdme, who has my love forever. ♥ Please comment with your own answers as well, if you have some time! Thanks. :D

My favorite story this year (of my own): It has to be Simple. :)
Runner-up: I'm pretty fond of What He Carries! It has a nice atmosphere in my head.

My best story this year: I'm not sure? Maybe Liminality? It's the most involved and a bit more intense than my other fics, maybe.
Runner-up: Simple again. Because I'm in love with it (and haven't written that many fics in a year, ayy).

Story most tragically underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Ay-ay~! This is actually a drabble, the Ohmiya!angrysex one from the first Drabble Prompts. I think it has a nice feeling... or something.
Runner-up: Ties. This one was a bit confused at times, but it's still awesome sexy times.

Most sexy story: Confluence was pretty sexy.
Runner-up: Sho/Nino maid!sex. Because Nino is a good friend.

Most unintentionally *telling* story: I think a lot of my fics and drabbles have pieces of my personal philosophy sprinkled throughout them (maybe rudely so), but Liminality got pretty blunt with it at the end there.

GUYS THIS MEME IS KILLING ME, I HAVEN'T WRITTEN ENOUGH. /fails

"Holy crap, that's *wrong*, even for you" story: This burgeoning vampire AU. All joking aside, I prefer writing cheerful stuff, so I don't have many risky stories. Maybe it's time?!

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: All Roads. Helped me understand Jun a bit better (I still have trouble with him), and it introduced to the wonderful world of Sho/Jun. Tons of fun.
Runner-up: A Short Love Story in Drabble Form. Ohno's spacey perspective got really easy to write after this.

Hardest story to write: Liminality. Jun, you bitch.
Runner-up: Narrowing In was pretty difficult, too. I think I forced it a lot.

Worst story: Advantage is kind of really not great! Although Nino's butt remains cute.
Runner-up: My je_holiday fic? I'm not pleased with it, I guess?

Easiest story to write: Once I sat down to it, Simple took tons of time but wasn't difficult. Aiba is a fun voice to control. :)
Runner-up: A Short Love Story in Drabble Form was ridiculously easy to write.

Story I'd like to revise: The Wine Bottle had a lot of potential, but it was for a contest and I procrastinated and then I hurried and erm. Yeah. Sensing a theme. I'd like to rework it again sometime!

Story I didn't write but will at some point, I swear: The notes for _____'s Guide to Having Sex with _____ are still in my writing file somewhere... I think it was meant to be funny. BE EXCITED?! Oh, and Space!Arashi.

First story you wrote this year: How Ohno Makes Nino Be Nice. And my first-ever Arashi fic, too! It's all vintage!

Last story you wrote this year: All Roads. Not a bad end!

GUYS I NEED TO WRITE MORE, OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. [GOES TO DO THAT]
