Just for the record? This episode still freaks me out. It's the whispering when the demon-mist possesses the guy in the bathroom. *shudder*
I actually love to fly. But goddamn if that planecrash scene doesn't *still* freak me the fuck out.
I. I can't really say much that hasn't been said about that pan up sleeping Dean. I just. HOW CAN KRIPKE LOVE US *SO* MUCH?!? And I think possibly he looks the hottest when he's turned back, looking at Sam over his shoulder before he actually moves to sit on the bed. The angle of his body there, and the lighting, and nnrrgghh. Also, Sam just standing behind the pane of glass in the entryway? He kinda looks seriously ominous, doesn't he?
So we know Sam can function on little-to-no sleep. And that Dean can too, because he got less than three hours, but he was still up and traveling. And I love Dean saying, essentially, "Nope, I'm not afraid of nothin'". And then contrasting that with his fear of flying.
Apparently, poltergeists can come back after they've been banished or whatever. Huh.
And you know what? I was going to do the whole live blogging thing like I've done with the other eps, but I'm remembering how much I love this one, in spite of (or maybe because of) it's creepy factor, so I'm just going to watch and then give general impressions.
I take it back. I can't stop.
The Impala is just gleaming this episode, isn't she?
Dean is so *proud* of his EMF meter. And then Sam crushes him. Poor Dean. I'mimpressed. ;)
I will never, ever, EVER get tired of seeing them climb/jump over things. That is possibly the hottest thing ever. Seriously, the thing I missed most in season 2 was the lack of climbing and jumping after Jared broke his hand. It makes me sad to my soul.
Oh sweet Jesus, Sam with the untucked collar and cuffs. *fans*
"Worthless. Piece a. CRAP." "If you fellas will excuse me, I have an idiot to fire." Man, the background dialog in this episode is just golden. The 'Poltergeist?! Man, I love that movie!' still makes me snicker. Just so funny.
Does anyone else get the impression that this is the first Demon the boys have delt with? That they know they exist, and that they know some of the general lore of demons, but that it's always been someone else that handled exorcisms.
Dean's distress at having to get on that plane will never, ever stop being hilarious. The look on his face, and his voice--Jensen just really nailed it.
Gate 13. Man, that still cracks me up.
I really liked Amanda. She was sensible, and about a twenty times more friendly than any flight attendant I've ever had. (Also, Sam would smack Dean for calling her a Stewardess, instead of a Flight Attendant, wouldn't he?)
I think I'm really glad they now go with just the steaming when a possesed person gets holy water on them. The bubbling blisters are really not my thing AT ALL.
And above all else? The boys both looked so unbelievably fucking gorgeous in this ep. I think I like Sam better with the tamer hair and slightly thinner face. Yeah, it makes him look younger, but he's *pretty* like that. XD
But yeah, I always forget how much I love this episode until I rewatch, and then there's just SO MUCH to love.
