Idea for a story

Tolkienesque fantasy perspective flip, with the twist that the "Dark Lord reborn" is no such thing. He (or she, even) is actually an orc Genghis Khan wannabe with a talent for self-promotion who found an intact suit of Dark Lord-era armor and is using the mystique to help rally the scattered monster races to their banner.

Another idea, possibly in the same universe- ensemble dramedy about the adventures of a bunch of noncombatant support people (medical, logistics, etc.) in the Evil Overlord's army.
