Just learned that my dad's out of surgery. Thank heavens. I wasn't expecting any particular complications, but these things are always a bit nervewracking.
I don't know the exact details of when he'll be home, but I do know that he should be out of the hospital by Thanksgiving, but not up to any heavy lifting.
