Have some chibis

Oct 17, 2008 22:20

So, I was wasting time making chibis of a large cast of imaginary people at tektek.org, and now I'm going to inflict them on you.

Have some Valeriya.

At about the 100 Sentences era, in her work clothes.

As a young woman, pre-Experiment. Even then she didn't dress like this *all* the time.

Here's Ekaterina.

As a young woman, when she was working for Valeriya. The thing around her neck is a stethoscope. I don't know if the pigtails are a deliberate attempt to get people off their guard by affecting playful girlishness, or if she had the bad judgment to let Sasha get within styling distance when she was feeling bored.

As an old lady. I regret that I couldn't find any appropriately lethal looking hairpins. She should probably have lighter hair, but true white didn't show up well against the background.

Captain Aleksandra Ivanovna "Sasha" Markov(a). The hearts and sakura petals are supposed to represent bishie sparkle. The cat is because Sasha likes cats, and considers them kindred spirits, especially the deceptively cute but evil ones.

Bifauxnen in uniform.

Getting ready for a relaxing night in.

Everyone's orc-sexual for Maria. No, I haven't quite decided how she lost her eye yet.

In uniform, in Sweet Polly Oliver mode. She's not exactly a stick, but still nobody in the army made any inquiries - are *you* going to go around questioning 6'2" green-skinned fanged badasses' gender identity?

Relaxing during her sojourn in Fantasy Counterpart East Asia, where she also picked up the katana and the father of her child.

Jin the psychic vaguely pseudo-Korean het love interest. I couldn't find any Korean clothes, so stuck him in the most East Asiany things they had. After all, he'd be traveling around with Maria, so probably would have made use of local tailoring at some point.

Relaxing with a bowl of noodles and an incorporeal friend.

In serious channeling mode.

Boudicca Thekla Skullsplitter. She favors the orcish side of her heritage, but looks a bit more like her father as she gets older and the early-graying psychic genes start making themselves felt. (Bodie can see ghosts. As one might imagine, this is a bit stressful for a professional soldier.) The hair might be a bit anachronistic, but I wanted something that was a darker green than Maria's, short, and not too fussy.

Impromptu Solid Snake cosplay, or, "Whose idea was it to send a six foot tall green-skinned woman on a stealth mission?"

Bodie in civilian clothes. For a while, when she was sick of killing people and *really* sick of the government, she went off to become a veterinarian in a small frontier town. Bodie likes animals - even the ornery ones have a remarkably low chance of shooting or betraying you.

Tanis Darienzan - because making the Neutral Good male drow sidekick into a Drizzt clone would have been redundant in this case, given what Bodie's strengths are, so I went in the opposite direction.

Just nerding around, with a rat for company. Tanis likes rats. Even if they sometimes gnaw on things they shouldn't, that's still a lot more excusable than attempting to sacrifice you to their dark goddess.

Dressed up for a night at the opera. Tanis likes opera, and most other forms of surface-world entertainment, except things like cockfighting. It's all wonderfully exotic.

Athena - a nice girl with a lot of issues. And a sword.

I based this around the basic Spy Catsuit look, and then kept layering pieces on to make a proper outfit instead of just her running around in high-tech long underwear. (Bodie's outfit is based on drow spelunking clothes, and dark elves have a much lower standard of modesty than Athena's culture.) Besides, there's just something cute about doing martial arts in a skirt.

Athena in civilian clothes. She could probably wear her combat/stealth outfit under her regular dress, come to think of it, although she'd still need to put on the armory bits and change her shoes.

Other people:

Erisiel "Eris" Darienzan. Based on an early character with the same name, but she's a necromancer instead of a rogue. Tanis' younger sister, and also not evil, although she's a bit less nice. After Tanis moves to the surface, they don't see each other for a while and actually meet again through Athena.

Gerard Saint-Dumas. Actually should be wearing something more like a Jesuit cassock, but I thought this got the point across. Before he was a priest, he was Athena's surrogate parental/big brother figure during a rather rough period of her childhood. Let's just say it was all a bit "Gunslinger Girl."

Marius Villiers. Insane, frequently shirtless White-Haired Pretty Boy Estrogen Brigade Bait. Was Bodie's commanding officer during the war, and at that time wasn't quite so crazy, but still had an aversion to shirts. He and Athena are probably related somehow.

Poppaea Sabina Lillet. As far as anyone knows, she's neither Roman nor French. She usually does not dress like a saloon girl without a good reason, but a lot of her outfits are less costume-y versions of a similar aesthetic. In other words, she's Ms. Fanservice. She's also older than she looks, and at one point in her life worked for the Aristoi, which means she was probably raised by them like Katya was (but most likely not by the Russian branch), as they don't like giving any info to outsiders. Hobbies include swimming, horseback riding, and dancing the night away at absinthe-soaked Bohemian nightclubs.

dolls, evil russian lesbians, silliness, original stuff, butch orc chicks, fair haired pretty people
