Why being a teenager is tough and shitty

Not much change has happened in my live so much as it has been quid pro quo. I traded working at McDonald's for a job at Taco Bell and then picked up another job at a private dining/catering club. I don't get many hours at either of these jobs, but I guess it is okay since I have nothing to pay off, I'm just saving up to buy stuff. I also got a job volunteering at a pharmacy, which will at least give me training. Working with customers all the time face to face has let me develop this hatred for mankind. There is so much wasted food at these places! I especially hate the people who will load a full plate from the buffet, eat a third of it, only to get another full plate and keep wasting it! I also despise the people at Taco Bell who come in with their kids and think that they can dump their crap everywhere and it's going to be okay, or let their kids be screaming monsters. I don't blame the kids; kids are innocent- it's the parents who let their kids develop into pig-like, wasteful beasts.

Also, been reading engaging books lately, which is always good. I just finished Dan Brown's Lost Symbol which was a suspenseful read and kept me needing to know what happened. It also makes me want to go to Washington D.C. so I can look for all of the symbols of ~*conspiracy*~. I know now that I dislike Jane Austen's novels- all of them. I just can't get past the style of writing, because it is so restrained and distant. I still enjoy the movie versions though. I am also looking to get this book called Tentacles of Progress, which is about the role of technology in driving history and who can resist a book about history with tentacles in the title?

Next year I have to enter into a professional class so I have to get ~business clothes~ and discovered the best place to get them is thrift stores and consignment shops. I dislike contemporary clothes, so there's no point in spending retail price on clothes I don't like or feel comfortable in, so I went for vintage. I bought three separate outfits, all for under $50 total, and most of them fairly new looking!

Hmmm...not much else to say about my life. I haven't stopped sewing or doing other projects, but I just lack much to say about them. My life has become considerably less exciting since I haven't been at school, since I don't have any existential angst about being in pharmacy school while I am at summer vacation.

My computer is also in the worst place to relax and type. I don't have wireless internet at my house, so my laptop is anchored to the one place I can hook it up, which is the guest room with no air conditioning or furniture.

Oh! and I have been figuring out this whole networking thing and have concluded that how a great many people find their significant others is through their friends, and how they find them is by advertising the fact that they are looking. So I am advertising to my friends that I am indeed looking, and hopefully something will come out of it, yes?
