Chess and conversations

I met with Professor Sage today. She, ah, addressed this tendency I have to daydream in class. Well, think a lot, really. On things that aren't the subject matter. ^^;
Well, we met and started talking about it and ended up playing chess as we did. We eventually moved on to talking about the Planet and she asked a lot about the Temple of the Ancients--she seemed really interested in it. We talked about that for a while, and then we ended up talking a bit about her. She seemed really hesitant to, though. I wonder how much she opens up to people?
I feel bad for her, though. All her books keep getting misplaced, and she seems to really like to read so that probably isn't any fun in the least. And apparently where she's from, half-elves aren't very well liked, so I think she's a little nervous here. But it doesn't make any sense to me. If an elf and a human have a child, shouldn't they love it for being their child? Why should people dislike half-elves? It doesn't make any sense!

She also mentioned something about a diary. Her mother's, I think it was? She said it had gone missing and she had the most distraught look on her face... She didn't really say much about it, though. She also said something about embarrassing herself earlier today. I wonder what could have happened? She didn't do anything in class that would embarrass her. She must have done it before... Oh well. I still think she's a very good teacher, if a bit excitable in some subjects. ^^;
