This will be a good week :)
Yesterday I went to SoHo with my sis to get our mom a B-Day present- We went to this awesome bath store called Bath Junkie where you "make" your own lotions, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, bath salts and other similar stuff. You pick out the product you want, and then pick out a scent from like a hundred (or so) scents that range from florals to fruits and veggies and dirt and rain (and so many more), and then you pick out a color! It's so awesome. So we decided to make some hand lotion, scented it with lilac and rose and made it light purple. :) Way fun.
Today I finally got my hair cut and highlighted! It's been way over due. There's an Aveda salon about a 15 minute walk from here. Definitely was the longest appointment ever though- 3 hours!!! holy smokes. So worth it though.
And then.... Tomorrow is the Flight of the Conchords concert at Radio City Music Hall. So effing excited!!!!! Mel and I have really good seats, like 4th row center. :D
Thursday is my sister's boyfriend's band concert at Bowery Ballroom- Her and Kings County. They're a country band from Brooklyn :) I think they have a video or two on YouTube, check them out :)
And Friday is my 4th Met. Class. I'm really glad I signed up to take them- I've learned a lot about pieces of art I've never seen, and get to explore different galleries every week that I never even knew existed. Very fun.
I think the best thing about this week though is the warm weather heading our way on Friday and Saturday- upper 60s!!!! If only it would stay like that...
On a completely random note- I really want to see "17 Again." I hate to admit that, but it looks cute. And Matthew Perry is in it, if only for a little bit....
Also, Mel and I are planning a road trip to MI in about a month- probably around Memorial Day. She hasn't been to Michigan before, so we're going to drive home to Ann Arbor for a few days and then spend about 2 days up north in Traverse City. Really really excited to go on a "mini vacation." and for a road trip!! I haven't been on one since Meghan and I did the drive across the country a few years ago. Plus renting a car is always fun cuz it's usually a newer car- so it has all the new gadgets and it sometimes even has that new car smell. :)
