Big SPIDER!
A *huge* spider just ran across my living room floor, and when I saw it and got up, it stopped and stared at me.
I don't mind the fact that there are spiders, as long as I can't see them. Having seen one, I'm never sure whether I want to (a) Put it outside; (b) Monitor it closely so that I know its whereabouts at all times; or (c) Get it to run away back out of sight so that I can ignore it as before.
(b) isn't really sustainable. (a) is OK, using the glass-and-paper method, but it's a house-spider, they want to live in houses. So I decided on (c) and it's gone now.
But I forgot: I have to sleep on the floor in here next week. Lets hope I've forgotten the spider by then.
