Of Moves and Changes
How quickly the weather has changed here - after weeks and weeks of humid heat (why, just this Monday had a high of 31C), today is a very chilly 11C - with a slight drizzle and a cloudy sky. Perfect excuse to pull a WFH off - so here I am, lounging about the newly set up house, sipping dainty white tea (another pretentious habit I've picked up - must blog about teas some day :D )
Speaking of house setup: it's been just over a month since the move. The first couple of weeks of which were spent is general cribbing about the house, the city, ra ra. The next couple went in being re-introduced (albeit vicariously) to the beast that is grad school and adjusting to the undeniable truth that our weekends are no longer mine to squander (no, they belong to assignments, pch). Anyway, in between all this, boxes got unpacked, old furniture got assembled, new furniture got bought, books got stacked and finally with the hanging of the curtains last weekend, the "house-setup" project has been mutually declared by us as DONE :D
There's still some more bits to do, closets to be re-arranged, paintings to be hung .. but I couldn't wait to show off our efforts and here's some pics of the bookcase that I'm immensely proud of building:
