Goodbye Ah Chek, your bright eyes, warm smiles, gentle handshakes, and how you know by heart how exactly each key fits into each door in church... I will miss and keep with me forever. In Heaven there will be no more pain, so please do not cry, because did you know that when you weep we weep together with you? You were in my earliest childhood memories, and even when hospitalised and ridden with diseases you have been such a joy, so strong, a true star. How do I even begin to articulate how much we will miss you? How do I condense 22 years of fond memories into a single paragraph? I will miss you Ah Chek, I will miss you fondly, dearly, terribly. You have laboured all your life, and I pray that for every earthly treasure you have selflessly sacrificed that God will repay you doubly in His Kingdom. You were never married and have no children, but today when singing our final hymn when I saw how so many people were crying because they'll missyousomuchthisisonlyourearthlygoodbyebutohhowillmissyou I realised how much of a blessing you have been to every single one of us, and in the same way I sincerely hope that we have been a blessing to you too.
