For this year, my femslash february challenge will be :
* Post a few femslash fics (most of them crossoverized with ladiesbingo)
* Watch a few femslash movies (I've been neglecting movies)
* And, every day, rec a different female-driven story with at least one canon wlw, in English. Some of them will be romance, some of them not at all. Some of them will have fanon pairings more popular than the canon ones. It happens ^^
The feelings we all must endure (in English) / Watashi Sekai o Kouseisuru Chiri no You na Nani ka (in Japanese) / All we need is love (in French) by Shuninta Amano
Length: Three volumes or manga, finished.
Happy ending or not? For the main ship, yes. Sadly, not for everyone.
Who is the wlw? All of them. It's a yuri manga. ^^ Some are lesbians, some are bi.
Is there other representation? One of the girls is asexual and has chronic fatigue, another is bulimic.
Trigger warnings? The eating disorder already mentioned, unhealthy relationships including bad male exes, sexual content.
What about the plot? Ruki is a student who gets in a work group where the six other girls wants to have fun and no one wants to actually work. Everyone else is sleeping, gossiping, flirting, and not even choosing a subject. She's not interested in boys and talking about boys but she will discover it doesn't mean she's uninterested in romance.
How good it is? It revolutionizes nothing but I love the characterization, the deadly sins symbolism, the complexity of the relationships between the characters, be it romance, friendship or purely sexual, and the bittersweetness of it. Also, "I'm the only one who wants to work in my group project" is a very relatable situation, so I was rooting for Ruki since the beginning.
