I'm changing my major to software engineering, and probably just going to minor in physics (or just drop it all together for applied mathematics).
I looked into SCAD's master of the fine arts for game design and it looks really good, so I might go there for graduate school. Having a solid base in programming on top of getting my masters in game design would be a pretty good route for a future in video games.
Cool. I get 10,000 a year in scholarship, a stafford student loan for about 3,800 a year I think, and then it's between 7,000 and 8,000 per quarter maybe. So after three quarters, around 23,000 out of pocket I guess. I am not entirely sure of these, seeing as they all go to my Dad, but that's what I could gather from my online statement for this quarter.
I was supposed to get 3000 a year from bright futures, but it never went through I guess. Those bastards...
Out of pocket for books and supplies per quarter (so at least three times a school year) is anywhere between $500 and $1000 depending on your classes.

If I end up not liking the classes in software engineering here, I'll just switch over to SCAD. ^_^

Hope it all goes well for you! Keep me updated on this of course.

How much do you pay a year on top of scholarships?
