Long day in the field

You know you've seen it all when you see a hearse with chrome rims. I don't know what compelled the driver to do that. Needless to say, it looked stupid. But hey, if that's your market... I saw the hearse while doing field work for my job. Which consisted of driving around the entire city of baltimore, looking at Bus Stops. The work itself was kind of silly. But the driving was pretty interesting. In a lot of ways, it was depressing to see so many boarded up houses, and areas of the city that could really use a shot in the arm. (One could argue that shots in the arm are what led to some of the blight in the first place). But part of me could see a ton of potential. It could be a really nice city.

It has now been quite some time since I last wrote in this. My bad. Since the last time, Stanford thankfully fired Buddy Teevins. And I keep hearing talk that Norm Chow will be the next coach of Stanford, which would be pretty awesome. Tyrone Willingham was also fired, as head coach of Notre Dame. I think that was just flat out stupid. No one seems to understand that, except that Notre Dame wants Urban Meyer. And while I agree that he's a great coach, I think he's going to be looking at a lot tougher competition, so the Irish shouldn't really expect him to go 21-2 in 2 years, as he did at Utah.

Aside from that, things are just blah recently. I am going to las vegas in 2 weeks, and then atlanta the following week, so I'm excited for that. Nothing else very exciting to report on.
