(no subject)
I feel like my feet are about to fall off.
I just spent the last SIX HOURS in Palazzo Pitti. And I am so exhausted. Not to say that it wasn't a well-spent six hours, except for a rather unfortunate bout in the Gardens (it was SO HOT), I am just now extremely tired. But it was sooo worth it. I saw SO MUCH ART!!!! They have a lot more Baroque art than most of the places I've been so far (cause Florence is really mostly about the Renaissance) so that was really nice. They have "Cupid Sleeping" by Caravaggio, and "The Consequences of War" by Rubens, etc etc etc. I was very happy. And they are slightly more visitor-friendly than the Uffizi. Only slightly though. I'm really beginning to appreciate the way museums are set up in the US.
Anyway, now I am relaxing a bit at my little internet cafe, because the school library is not open on the weekends. They were just playing "Hungry Like The Wolf" (oh, how I miss you Alexis!!!!!!!) and now they're playing something cheery and French. It's a little wierd. Oh well.
