So, okay... this is my first foray into something not Naomily. Well, it is Naomily a bit. But not really. And the parts of Naomily that are in it may not stay that way. The name of the fic is from a Coheed and Cambria album, as are the track names. And... well, I know that I'm certainly not the first person to come up with using an album for a fic

This was absolutely amazing. I loved the pacing, and most of all how you wrote Katie.
I really like how you went back to Emily/Naomi's kiss and had Katie know what she really saw and still try and cover up for it (In my opinion, this is exactly what went down in canon).
Like I always say, vulnerable and slightly insecure Katie is my favourite, it really does just make me fall in love with her. I adored how you portrayed her current sort of flailing, not really knowing who she is, trying to figure out her relationship shift with Emily, and how actually, Naomi plays into her life in a strange way.
Katie wearing Emily's clothes and realises that Naomi did indeed find Emily rather bedable while dressed in leopard print=EPIC WIN♥
She wondered, as they all had another fag (excluding JJ, who prattled on about the logistics of the part time job he had for the summer), if Naomi’s fingers had left a mark on her skin. She was able to ( ... )

To me, there's something about Katie and Naomi that just makes sense. - THIS. - Especially after Katie's world has been changed by the rock incident. To me, Naomi and Katie (now) will be more realistic about life, whereas Emily will always be innocently naive (and I'm not being mean about E at all, I actually find her naivety endearing).
You should totally post a link to this over at, skinsfans, skinsfic, SkinsFemslash and even naomi_x_emily - because if people miss this, I'll be gutted not just for you but for them!
[I'm terrible when it comes to friending, can't remember who I've added and who I haven't lol. Cleary an oversight on my part too for missing you out!]

I find Emily completely endearing, and that's going to be a big part of this story. We already know that Naomi loves Emily so how does Katie fit into all of this?
Katie and Naomi are both strong women yet have a hard time expressing themselves properly, something that I think Sivi's 'Either/Or' conveyed perfectly. In my opinion, that's what will always bring them together. Hopefully I'll be able to get this across in this story :)
Thanks again for your brilliant comments :) I'll be checking your journal today for anything I've missed!
Oh, and, forgot to say before - love this icon! I need to find me some more K/N ones!

Ok, so your purely flippin' incredible for this. The pacing is perfect. Love the back story of E/N from Katie's perspective as well.
Always nice being able to appreciate Katie as human, and you did a really great job with that. You actually give her a thought process that makes her understandable.
Whatever, you wrote her beautifully perfect in my opinion.
Plus, as much as it causes internal ouchies, I'm hardcore happy with your K/N. I'm taking that as a major accomplishment. :D
Massive thanks for this.

I'm so glad you thought I did a good job with Katie - she's such a deep character, like everything that's on the outside doesn't always reflect what's going on on the inside. That's such a massive compliment that you think I wrote her beautifully - thank you!
I'm with you on the ouchies, don't worry! I remember when I first saw that someone had written Emily/Effy and I was like 'whaaaat?!' but then I read it and somehow it made a lot of sense. And then the same with Katie/Naomi... I'll always be a huge Naomily fan, I just also happen to be a huge Katie/Naomi fan too :)
Thanks again for reading - you're making it worth it!!

Anyway, read this a few days ago and loved it. Really excited to see where you take it, and love your Katie. You've captured her voice really well. I believe it.
I agree with the above comments, post it around! This has so much potential, and I'm so intrigued to see where you take it. And if people don't like it, fuck them because it's really good.
(but of course they'll like it, pimp it!)

Thanks for your lovely comments about my Katie - that's the hardest thing, I think, writing these thought processes in a believable way, and having them coherent whilst still being a little bit unclear about where they're heading. Katie thinks that she knows a lot, but she's starting to understand that she knows nothing. And I love her for that. So your comment that you believe is very flattering.
Feel free to help me pimp it if you like! That's if you know of anyone who's up for a little bit of Katie wandering and they're not too afraid of what could happen with Naomi...
I'm pretty excited about it, actually. I've got a lot of ideas for what I want to happen and I can't wait to get writing! At least there are a few of you who will be reading the next update <3

I also wanted to say, that I read your Revision series ages ago, and loved it. Like, seriously. I can't remember if I commented, I don't think I did for whatever reason, but it stands out in my memory because I remember being surprised at how good it was. Like, not expecting it to be bad or anything, but not expecting it to be that good. So really, thank you! You must continue writing, regardless of how many comments you get, because there are those of us that appreciate it very much. :)

Thanks for liking Revision Session! I was never quite sure that I got it right (I'm never sure I'm getting anything right!!) but it was fun to write a slightly more laid back Naomi. It was definitely lacking Katie though, so hopefully this fic'll make up for that ;) But thanks loads for liking it.
I'll definitely carry on writing - there's too much of this story in my head to stop anyway!
Right - I'm off to read the rest of your update! I started at work today but then I had to, like, work. Which was annoying. So now I can read it with only kitten-related interruptions :)

I was sent here by a friend, and definitely glad for it. This has amazing potential (not that it's not wonderful now, by this I mean I'm very interested to see what you're going to do here)
I love love love (yes, that was necessary) Katie, so it's a joy to see something written from her POV that is so on-target and shows her as a developed character.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the next parts. Are there next parts?
Do I need to bust out the peer pressure? It's just that you should be warned that I'm very good at it. (Not bragging, just stating facts.)

Yes, there will be much, much more. I'm thinking lots of chapters, that follow the album that I borrowed the title from. You can bust out some peer pressure should you feel the need, but I'm pretty invested in writing this story so there'll definitely be more, hopefully soon. Peer pressure will always be appreciated though ;)
How do you feel about K/N stuff, then...?
Thanks muchly for reading and commenting :)

No leopard-print bras for me though. I did see a girl in the young professionals group I was roped into was wearing a purple leopard print top at work the other day and I was both horrified and secretly thrilled.
I love the idea of Naomi/Katie - My major issue with Emily/Naomi is that Naomi is just such a twat and panics at ~feelings. This is largely because I can't really empathise with characters who have it together, I think. Also, Emily is so certain of love and Naomi is so unsure about a lot of things.
However, Skins itself, I want them to stay together and continue to be adorable because I love them. (what is this.. hypocrisy you speak of?)

See, this is also a thing I'm learning - leopard print doesn't have to be leopard colours! I think purple might be the way forward...
I totally agree with you - in terms of the show, I want Emily and Naomi to work. Obviously, a bit of angsty drama will be fine, cos it's never as satisfying at the end if there's none of that. But, yes, everything you said :)
Ah, I want to say stuff about my fic but I don't want to spoil! So I'm gonna go away now before I'm tempted to say anything else...

Really glad to hear you feel she's been written convincingly - hopefully I'll continue to manage that as we go along. I love Katie, so I want to keep as true to her character as possible, with, you know, a few added parts ;)
Thanks again! Should be a new chapter up within the next couple of days.
