In other news
My hip surgery is scheduled for Friday, April 9. I delayed it until after Opening Day so I could enjoy my Nats' tickets before going on crutches for a while (priorities!). The surgery will be arthroscopic and is done on an outpatient basis, but I'll be on crutches for three weeks afterwards and cannot put more than 20lbs of pressure on my right leg during that time. Then it's back into more physical therapty to continue the healing process.
Speaking of healing, my back is feeling much better. :)
Also on the bright side, the long term prognosis is still excellent. I just have to get through this. Wish me luck (although really I'll just be unconscious on the gurney - perhaps you should wish the orthopedic surgeon luck :).
