so work is good, im learning new shit nearly every other day, i like it - i really do *nerdy grin `:o] there is one major downer being sys admin..we are the first to know when someone is leaving..and some of the time before the employee knows..its kinda surreal as we all know the routine..one of the head honchos comes in..doesn't say hi to anyone else in the office, walks quietly to our corner, bends over out of our monitors and whispers "can you have all of blah blah's e-mails redirected, her username & password disabled and her computer data backed up and archived...i need this within the hour.." its sad to fill those requests..especially when its someone you just meet you were really getting to know..i been there a month now, 3 people have been..well 3 have gone..and 2 out of the 3 were the two i really wanted to get to know better `:oT as of this month, i've had to set up 9 new PCs - 9 new comers - so does that mean 6 current are "leaving"? time will tell..
on a lighter note, it seems security is over looked with the current key codes for the doors..like the front door to the building is so freaking easy, the code was 2345[enter] which is stupidly easy don't you think? its changed now - but i personally don't see the new one any better..anyway - the toilets, those key codes are freaking ridiculous!! its like CXY0429 1+3 together[turn handle right]..and i swear it cancels if you turn the handle left..like wtf? sooooo, you can come in and rob all of our shit, our servers and pcs but no..you may NOT use our toilets, you're gonna have to hold it til you get home mate..
