Yesterday I talked a little about how I should be yammering up a storm because of the Nano filter (starting Tuesday), and today I feel like I should already be using the Nano filter, because much of what's on my mind is related to that wonderful Novel Writing Month.
Specifically, I need to compose the greeting email for Challenge participants. I also need to compose a little blurb that Emily is planning to put in her ML email tomorrow. Plus I need to send a message to the guy who does the tracking website to see if he's up for another November of doing the tracking website. Then I have to get my butt in gear and finish the buttons. (I finished the cutting portion of the program last night, now it's the assembly itself I need to finish.) I grant that it's going slightly faster this year because of the machine I bought late last year. I like this contraption a lot.
Also, I want to sit down and make my bus plans for the Kick-off this Saturday and the Mozart's write-in next Sunday. There doesn't seem to be much on the calendar so far that I'll be able to attend, but since I can't make the Midnight Write I want to make an effort to get to what I can. (Must RSVP for the overnight event. Note to self.)
There is still nothing more in the way of story. It's just the overall general plot idea I already had, although one or two of the logistical elements have already changed. When November 1 rolls around... I still don't know exactly how it will start.
(My brain is also trying to get me to scrap the idea in favor of a Jabberwocky-esque fantasy farce that does not take place in the Jabberwocky "universe" -- hopefully this will not come to pass.
TV last night was good. I enjoyed the revelations in No Ordinary Family. There was a full hour of Raising Hope, so I didn't get that thirty-minute "focus" window I had expected. I don't know why I enjoy this show so much, other than that the baby is cute as a button. The evening ended up with Parenthood. The episode wasn't anything special, but it was still good.
That's pretty much it for today. I need to spend the rest of my lunch break composing some of the Challenge material I mentioned earlier. Maybe getting up a prototype of the spreadsheet, since I can't get to the media drive at the moment to copy and paste the old one. I'll talk to you tomorrow, Dear Journal.
