What I just finished reading:
Martha Wells, The Serpent Sea and The Siren Depth (Book 2 and 3 of the Raksura series). LOVED IT. Pretty much everything - plot, characters, worldbuilding - So good! The next book (with several stories in it) is already ordered and should be coming somewhen in October. Can't wait!

Ring of Swords for trobadora

So, Ring of Swords by Eleanor Arnason. Spoiler free recommendation: it's a very good science fiction book that deals with questions of culture, gender politics, intelligence (general and military ;)) that also has awesome and fascinating female characters, lots of POC characters (more than white for sure) and a very intriguing ( Read more... )

I have the first book. How likely is it that I'll be all 'OMG, I NEED the next one RIGHT NOW!' once I've finished it? (I haven't started to read it yet, but I want to be prepared.)
Because if that is the likely outcome I'll better order the other two before I start reading it.
