It's not major progress, but I basted together the back and fronts with the false waistcoat to check the fit. I don't think it needs any adjustments (always a relief), but I do think it will fit smoother once I press and topstitch the seams. So that's next and then the skirts. What you are seeing is the red false-waistcoat fronts, blue wool jacket
