London calling

We recently stayed at the Morgan Hotel in Bloomsbury, very near the British Museum. Reasonable rates, excellent breakfast. Ask about their flats, which I believe have kitchenettes & are bigger, a good deal. The regular hotel doubles are small, but typical for a London hotel in that price range. Good Indian restaurant nearby called Malabar Junction.

There's an *awesome* hat exhibit at the V&A right now, also one on the tsars' clothing (didn't see the later), 5 pounds each, can buy tix there, might have a short wait if it's busy (like a half hour).

The Tate Britain has a killer exhibit on Van Dyke too (I think it's 12 pounds), it's huge, really amazing for 17th & 18th c. art. And the bookstore was having a sale :-)

The Tower of London was going thru a renovation in advance of Henry VIII's ascension anniversary last month; may be done now & should be cool. If you haven't been, worth seeing for the whole family! Also, the cafe is top-notch, local & organic food, including great vegetarian (I was inspired to copy their veggie pie!).

Anything else? Lmk!
