the weekend:
met T at the gr2 opening of susie ghahremani saturday night. browsed through there for a bit and picked up three little drawings. one is for me, and still deciding if the both of the other two will be for T or if i will give one to M. (he and i still arent talking though i have him unblocked now) then we went back to T's house for cheese and charcuterie. when i suggested that he pick up something simple like that i thought it would be a cheap but nice way to eat. not too filling. simple. no dishes really. but he really went overboard. he went wild at whole foods. warning to R, you might not be able to understand most of the following words. just know that its all yummy. :)
-berger de rocastin, cow
-manchego el trigal, aged 12 months, sheep
-monte enebro, goat
-fourme d'ambert, cow, blue
-prosciutto di parma
-soppressata
-wine and garlic salami
-mix of olives: green cerignola, lucques, kalamata, nicoise, and pink?
-marcona almonds
-dried figs
-grapes
-crusty baguette
-bottle of a young chateauneuf-du-pape that was actually really good once it opened up.
it was overwhelming the amount of food we had. but we were so happy. next on the agenda was wild at heart at the new bev. it was decent. lynch is wacky. it was kinda nice behaving like high schoolers in the back tho. afterwards we headed home and i called S to see if we were going to go out for her bday. so with a little convincing T and i headed over to meet them at el carmen. its still kinda weird being public with him, especially around work folk. i mean i dont have to deal with the teasing, but he does. tho apparently he hasnt gotten too much ribbing from the staff. anyway after closing we went back home and had more of the goodies, though we had to wait for the cheese to come to temp again (should have taken it out again before leaving for el carmen).
the next morning i ran off to work and he had rehearsal and work. after he finished up we ended up talking on the phone til almost 1:30. i was so tired at this point but somehow we both thought it was a good idea if he came over to my place to spend the night. and i wasnt going to school the next day so we thought we could sleep in and get lunch and enjoy the day together before we had to go to work. so he came over and we were giddy and happy and fell asleep and woke to sounds of construction but theyve been working on the street for awhile so it wasnt a big deal, i was used to it. but then when we finally got out of bed and made plans to walk down the street to get some falafel we looked outside and the entire street had been paved. and there wasnt a single car on the road. he got towed.
300 dollars later (almost 400 if you count the ticket) we had his truck out of the tow lot and were starving at this point. we went to this place i wanted to eat at, got there just as they closed. it was crazy, so many terrible things happened that day it seemed. oh but the whole point of this now really long post: he said the sweetest thing to me while we lay in bed that morning.
he said i was like a book hes been looking for his whole life that he wants to read over and over.
i think he probably said it better than that, but its probably one of the nicest things ever said to me.
sigh.
then after all that, i was 40 minutes late to work. (he got called off because it wasnt busy) he ended up coming to visit me at my work and then hung around while i cleaned up. then we hung out on fairfax for a bit then i ended going back to his place. i swear we are acting like crazy teenagers. i know the craziness wont last, but i want this whole thing to last.
