It's Tradition!

Well, it's New Year's Eve. Let's see how I did with those resolutions.

* Finish more knitting projects.
Yeaaaah, I think I was better at starting projects this year than finishing them. But I did finish a sweater! And I became more active on Ravelry, much to the regret of my wallet. 2012 is going to be a year of much knitting.

* Become better at sewing
And I have! Somewhat. I've made a few bags and some cute dolls this year, and maybe in 2012 I'll finally make those curtains I've been planning to make for the kitchen.

* Finish more writing projects
...NOPE! I barely made it through boostlethon and I still have a boatload of unfinished fics in my folder. Maybe next year.

* Keep a job for longer than a year
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Although I am interviewing for another job in the same agency. It's still teaching infants and toddlers, but the day is longer. Longer day, greater pay. We'll see what happens with that. Cross yo' fingers.

* Move out of the apartment (with Mr. Fleur, obviously!)
ALSO SUCCESSFUL. We got the fuck out of there and now we're living the dream in The Condor. I also got a new-to-me car this year. Unfortunately, I got it because Mr. Fleur's great-uncle passed away and I bought it off Mr. Fleur's grandmother.

As for my big goals, I think I went to the gym for a week and gave up on it, and Mr. Fleur still eats the same crap as ever. I think getting him to be more adventurous with food will be a long-term resolution.

I also learned to bake bread from scratch this year and I got a bike! I resolve to ride it as much as I can once the weather gets nice.

So what am I going to do in 2012? Try to eat better, move more, be more social, and have more fun. Mr. Fleur and I had our first anniversary in 2011 and I look forward to many more.

Here's to a new year, Internet. Let's hope it sucks less than 2011.
