* * The main problem with working in engineering -- there are very few young women. I am trying to set up weekly dinners with some work people, and I got called out several times on the fact that the invitee list includes 2 women (including myself) and 10 men. I need girl friends. There is some Women's Conference that Raytheon is a corporate sponsor for and therefore willing to send us to. Hopefully I will meet some fun, interesting, young, women (who don't have kids yet..). But that's not for another month.
* * For the first weekly dinner.. There were only three of us. For next week's dinner, it already seems that 6 or so people won't come because we decided (after I already sent out my dinner invite) to do lunch out that day as well. At least there will be some socializing.
* * There are very few people that I hang out with outside of work. I am trying to change that.
* * I'm going to try yoga! I was going to go today, but I slept through the beginning of the class I wanted to go to. Oh well.
* * I managed to drop a bowl of hot chili last night... and have it splash all over me (hand, chest, face). That hurt. It feels a lot better today, but my skin is still a bit irritated. Woo, go me.
* * Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I cannot wait to go home and see everyone! Dad is coming up here next week for training, so he will be around for 5 days or so :).
* * Boston is cold.
