This is related to the whole scans_daily brouhaha. I mentioned earlier that Peter David is somewhat responsible for the group demise. This being the Internet, "somewhat" quickly turned into "guilty as charged" as people began to post to his blog. I recently read an article on the Metroid Database that did analysis on Samus Aran. The article goes into depth on Samus design, origin and general effect on video game culture without becoming too obsessive about it. There is one point where I disagreed with the author.
