so i just bought my ticket. i was sitting in Wills dorm listening to Dana say that the weekend before everyone goes home they will have a Thanksgiving just so i can have a real dinner. nice, huh.
then i heard someone say the words "how about a tofu turkey"
so like i said, i just bought my ticket home.
I arrive Tuesday the 21st around 7pm and i leave Monday the 27th around 7pm. 7 days, 6 nights. home. with my parents. i'm excited, without a doubt. but i think a tiny part of me was sort of liking the idea of seeing how i'd do on my own. and Ben was going to lend me his Super Mario and Diddy Kong for the weekend. but really, as much as i do love Yoshi and Diddy, i love my grandmas pumpkin pie more.
this weekend the stress around the University Center has been so thick you could cut it with a knife. We have exams and so does Roosevelt and DePaul students so everyone is down each others throats and when no one is working they are drinking, trying to scrape in as much fun time as possible inbetween the sleeping and typing.
that being said, i'm off to Dana's room where a night of fun & friends & margaritas await me before i enter yet another ring of term paper hell tomorrow.
