Day Ten
Congrats to the Spirit of Worthington Marching Trojans! We got second in parade for class AAA (1.2 points behind first, tied for second overall highest score), and we got third in field for class AAA (over 20 points behind second place, but still pretty good for our first competition).
I was at a moral crossroads today: do I break my fast and eat something to stay healthy and alert, or do I continue my fast and run the risk of passing out during competition? I cheated a little, but only because I wanted to perform well and not be weak and irritable. I don't count junk food as "food" anyway, so I had some puff corn on the bus on the way up, then didn't eat until on the way home, with some delicious PB&J sammiches waiting for me on the bus. Hopefully the gods of Islam understand, and don't curse my family for generations to come.
Biggest news, though, comes out of Waverly, Iowa. I've been accepted for Early Admission by Wartburg College. It's almost like I don't want to even bother with applying to Augsburg or Northwestern anymore, now that I've secured my place for the freshmen class of 2008. Should I do it anyway, or just be happy that I've been accepted? Any college people reading this could help me out tons.
