Feel better! Sinus infections are the absolute worst. I think I only hate ear infections more.

I feel like I should have hobbies outside of fandom, if only so that I can talk to non-fandom people about them.

I've heard this poem before! I don't speak Spanish, even though I really want to learn, but it sounded really familiar when you were reading it. I looked it up and recognized it. It's totally one of my godmother's favorites.

I think the last time I was on lj to do more than read my inbox was probably in January. I guess it's just so much easier to text/tweet the people that I want to talk to. But still, kinda sad.

I always wanted to learn how to knit or something. But honestly, even knitting isn't something that a lot of random people are going to be particularly passionate about.

Yes! We should definitely do a thing when you feel better. Maybe before my mad dash to write research papers that look like I've been working on them all semester starts. Though after is probably better lol.

I know several people who are passionate about knitting ... I am rather passionate about quilting :D

I have lots of hobbies/interests outside of fandom. I think it's good to have a balance. Also, I got into fandom kind of late in life.

Yeah, one of my best friends is really into knitting and another does scrapbooking. Crafty people must stick together or something.

I think that I probably got into fandom too early to ever be able to completely separate fandom from my other interests. Sports was my last holdout and now I like hockeyrpf...

I think it's totally fine for fandom to be your one and only hobby. There are so many things to do within it. I've learned all kinds of new things from being in fandom. Hey, if it keeps you happy, it's all good!

I'll totally participate. Even if my voice is going to end up sounding like a 7 year old. But I haven't finished the season of Sleepy Hollow yet so my answers might be limited haha. I don't have a clue how to get my voice onto lj though, so it might take a minute.

1) You most certainly won't sound like a 7 year-old. Come on. Join the party!

2) Does your computer have an internal microphone? If it does, then I'd suggest Vocaroo. It's free and gives you an embed code and direct link. If you have an account and an internal mic, you can use Soundcloud. Or, there's an option to make a recording via your phone on LJ.
