Opening Night
All went extremely well for everyone. Apart from a few hitches with the lighting at the end of the show, and one embarrassing (but completely in character) trip-over on stage, everyone was happy and the audience reaction was great. It took them a while to warm up which is not surprising, considering the nature of the show and that they had no idea what to expect :-)
I was pleased to see a few people I knew in the audience - my grandparents and parents flew over from Brisbane, Miss Philippa came, Tom and Emma were there, Krystal, and even a couple of people showed up from Miss karenanning's party I went to a few weeks ago! Very impressed - hiking out to Midland is admirable enough, as is going to an opera which is usually out of people's comfort zones - even for some of one's best friends - so it's always nice to see people make an effort to do something different and show some support.
I think I did well - we've got notes tomorrow before the show so I'll know for sure whether a few things worked or not. It felt good.
Gonna make the most of the no-rain and ride home. L8R.
